When Max Planck began at the University of Munich studying Physics, he was told to pick another area of study as “in this field, almost everything is already discovered, and all that remains is to fill a few holes”. Nevertheless, Planck continued his studies, and went on to develop Quantum Theory, and was a pioneer into the world of modern physics.
