Dinosaurs may have looked… different.
When you think of a T. rex, you think of scary sharp teeth sticking out of a giant mouth. While they did have some scary teeth, they might’ve been covered by lizard-like lips.
A study was done by the University of Portsmouth that revealed it is likely that carnivorous dinosaurs had lips that covered their fangs. These lips were a barrier between their fangs and the elements. This means these teeth have less wear and tear than a tooth that was exposed to the elements throughout the life of the organism.
