We need to talk about the women founders of modern science: Meet Chien-Shiung Wu

Born near Shanghai, China and later moving to the US, Chein-Shiung Wu was Chinese-American physicist at the forefront of nuclear physics and a contributor for the Manhattan Project. The bulk of her research surrounded that of beta decay, including publishing a still well regarded book on the topic in 1965. Wu was the first woman president of the American Physical Society in 1975 and the first woman recipient of an honorary doctorate from Princeton University.
